Overview
The SinaSave Energy Efficiency Tool calculates potential sav-
ings and payback periods on the basis of your specific operat-
ing conditions, providing valuable decision guidance with re-
spect to investment in energy-efficient technologies.
The drive systems to be compared and the relevant parameters
of the drive components are displayed graphically with
SinaSave version 6.0 and higher. The wide range of options
for comparing different control modes and comprehensive prod-
uct combinations for drive solutions for pump and fan applica-
tions are useful additions. The portfolio of products includes
SIMOTICS motors and SINAMICS converters as well as SIRIUS
switching devices, offering a wide spectrum of possibilities for
comparison according to your requirements.
SinaSave offers numerous comparison scenarios:

Comparison of drive systems for pump and fan applications
in the output range from 2.2 kW (low voltage) to 5.5 MW
(medium voltage) for
- Throttle control (fixed speed; motor and switching device)
- Bypass control (fixed speed; motor and switching device)
- Speed control (variable speed; motor and inverter)

Comparison and evaluation of standard motors (incl. ignition
protection motors) in different energy efficiency classes
SinaSave supports the evaluation of different product and sys-
tem comparisons by

Displaying the potential savings for energy and energy costs
as well as CO
2
emissions

Estimation of the amortization time
•
Estimation of the individual total lifecycle costs
•
Representation of the system power losses according to
EN 50598-2 for full load and partial load
•
Direct comparison of Siemens drives with the reference Power
Drive System (PDS) of EN 50598-2
