Surface treatment
To protect the drives against corrosion and external influences,
five high-quality paint systems are available in various colors.
The corrosion protection system is designed in accordance with
the corrosivity categories of EN ISO 12944-2.
Geared motors, frame size 49 and higher, are painted in
RAL 7016 (anthracite gray) to corrosivity category C1 as stan-
dard. This ensures that they are protected against corrosion for
indoors use.
All of the unpainted parts of the products are treated with
corrosion protection for 6 months.
Surface pretreatment
For especially demanding applications, the drives can also be
pretreated in order to achieve a uniform paint coat thickness also
at hidden locations or those difficult to access.
