Design
The term "design" describes the arrangement of the motor shaft
relative to the low speed shaft of the drive unit. There are basi-
cally three different motor shaft arrangements:
•
At right angles
: The motor shaft is arranged at right angles to
the low speed shaft.
• Coaxial
: The motor shaft is aligned with the low speed shaft.
• Parallel
: The motor shaft is arranged with a parallel offset to the
low speed shaft.
FLENDER SIP planetary gear units/geared motors are available
with a right-angled or a coaxial motor shaft arrangement.
