Brake resistors in IP20 enclosure
When a three-phase AC motor or a servo motor is braked by
a frequency inverter, the motor operates in generator mode
and feeds back energy to the inverter. This energy can be dis-
sipated by means of a brake chopper. Due to this it is possible
to brake the motor within a short time interval.
