Guide buttons
In special instances when the belt must be kept perfectly in place, PVC or polyurethane guides can be replaced with excellent results by buttons. These buttons allow drums with smaller diameters to be used. Made of plastic, they are
smooth-running and wear-resistant; they are riveted on
the belt, on one or on both edges.
At least three buttons must be in contact with the drum
(fig. 2). Consequently the pitch between buttons will be
determined by the roller diameter.
